[The Tropical Forests and People Research Centre brings together researchers interested in the interactions between people and tropical forests. The Centre is based around multidisciplinary projects and a desire of members to work collaboratively with others in the Centre. The focus of our research is on community and smallholder forestry; which are ‘people focused’ systems in which individuals and communities create and manage forests for a mix of economic, social and environmental reasons.
